In the 3rd and final T20I that took place between Pakistan and England at the Old Trafford, Manchester, the visitors grabbed the match by five runs. The Men in green posted 190/4 on board and were able to defend it in a nail-biting competition that landed them in a respectable slot. With Pakistan having won the contest, the T20I series ended in a draw.
However, there was another significant thing in the match yesterday that stole the show. Fans spotted a lookalike of ‘Lionel Messi’ playing dhol outside the Old Trafford ground. With fans not allowed inside the stadium due to a bio-secure bubble, Messi’s doppelganger was spotted sporting the Pakistan jersey.
Manchester City might think of signing football stunner Messi after he ended his contract with Barcelona, but here it was his identical copy that turned the eyes of the fans. Fans went into a frenzy and started sharing pictures of the Messi-lookalike on social media after the man started playing the instrument in full zeal outside the venue.

There have been several speculations over Messi’s next destination club as he terminated his contract with Barcelona prematurely. The 6-time Ballon d’Or winner has plied the trade successfully for the same club for nearly two decades. Both the Manchester clubs, City and United are showing keen interest in inviting Messi in their squad. It has been reported that some other top-spending clubs, based across Europe, are willing to avail the star anyhow.
For now, nothing has been sure about the future of the 33-year-old’s career, but fan’s happiness knew no bounds when they saw the Messi lookalike outside the Old Trafford stadium that too in Pakistan jersey. However, a closer look at the person was enough to clear all the doubts.
After winning the final T20I match, Pakistan, led by Babar Azam, was successful in drawing the series. Mohammad Hafeez was named as Man of the Match as well as Man of the Series. The Test series was already clinched by hosts where they won by 1-0 to with the title.
