Mohammad Asghar made some great impact in the PSL at a very young age. The 19-year-old Afghan descendant Pakistani cricketer ascended up the ladder in PSL very quickly and emerged as the 5th highest wicket-taker. He was picked to play the PSL at just 17 and has taken 19 wickets in the 16 games that he played. The slow-left arm bowler is deceptive in the air and is expected to make it into the national team soon.

The youngster enjoys maturity beyond the years and can hold his composure under pressure which helps him stand apart from others. He will represent the Peshawar Zalmi under the leadership of two-time T20I WC winning skipper, Darren Sammy. Furthermore, he is expected to play a crucial role for the defending champions this year.
