The third edition of the Women’s Premier League (WPL 2025) is almost knocking on the door as the T20 cricket fever grips the country as the tournament set to be held in the early stages of 2025. With the teams raring to clash with each other, there will be many eyes set upon the star performers.
Several big names are gracing the T20 marquee event, who will be participating in the third edition of the WPL. The likes of Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Meg Lanning and many more stars will look to make the most of their campaigns in 2025. It is worth noting that star Australia women’s batter Ellyse Perry won the WPL Orange Cap, after she scored 347 runs to her name in nine matches.
Perry’s performances were influential in Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB-W) Women’s title winning campaign, and they will look for another good season in 2025. Notably, RCB-W defeated Delhi Capitals Women (DC-W) in the summit clash of the tournament in 2024. As a result, Meg Lanning’s team lost their second consecutive final.
