Former Indian cricketer Madan Lal has recently been appointed as the head of the enquiry committee of the DDCA that will look into the recent spat between Gautam Gambhir and KP Bhaskar. While Gautam Gambhir is a veteran batsman in the Delhi side, KP Bhaskar, on the other hand, is the current coach of the Delhi team.

The enquiry committee formed by the DDCA comprises of three members, which includes Ambassador Rajendra S Rathore and Advocate Sony Singh in addition to the committee head Madan Lal.

The Delhi & Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) administrator Vikramjit Sen has asked the three-member committee to have their enquiry finished soon. They have been given two weeks time from the date of direction for their procedural inputs. They are then expected to submit a report with their findings and necessary recommendations based on the enquiry that they have.

Talking about the matter, there was a severe heated altercation between Gautam Gambhir and KP Bhaskar during the Vijay Hazare Trophy recently at Bhubaneswar. Gautam Gambhir had alleged that KP Bhaskar is doing no good to the Delhi team. He went on to remark that Bhaskar is playing with the careers of promising young talents of Delhi like Unmukt Chand, Nitish Rana and Pawan Negi.

Commenting on Bhaskar’s stint as the Delhi coach, Bhaskar has had a terrible time seeing the team. Delhi failed to qualify to the quarters of the Vijay Hazare Trophy recently. Prior to this, they had a poor Ranji Trophy season this year. The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was not fruitful for them either.

In a nutshell, Delhi failed to cross the round 1 of all the premier domestic tournaments this season. After the altercation with Gambhir, Bhaskar also made claims about the misconduct by Gambhir. He alleged that Gambhir abused him in the team meetings.
