India is currently fighting against the second wave of COVID-19 as the country is witnessing more than 3 lakh cases per day. The fatality rate has also gone sky high compared to last year and shortage of oxygen across the country is one of the major reasons for the same. This has led to people making all possible efforts to procure oxygen cylinders and concentrators for their loved ones.

One such person was carrying an oxygen concentrator for his ailing father on the Indigo flight. He was travelling from Bangalore to Delhi and unfortunately, the package went missing after de-boarded the flight. However, it was later revealed that one of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) members had mistakenly picked up the package thinking it was the team luggage.

The man named Anwar was carrying a personal oxygen concentrator for his father who was being treated at a hospital in Delhi. But his package went missing when he reached to claim at the baggage section and he literally struggled to find it for almost 24 hours.

He was continuously co-ordinating with the Airport officials and finally, after looking at the CCTV footage, it was found that a CSK member had mistakenly picked up his package.

Only players take chartered flight while travelling

Notably, according to News Minute, only players take a chartered flight while the other members of contingent travel in a regular flight. Also, the luggage is kept in isolation in a separate room for a day to sanitise. Anwar’s package was also in the same room and they returned it to the Indigo official on April 27 night. The oxygen concentrator was then handed over to Anwar in Delhi who was desperately waiting for it.

As far as CSK are concerned, they played their first game of the Delhi leg on Wednesday and defeated the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) very comfortably. They ended their Mumbai leg with four wins and only one loss and will be keen on continuing their winning run in the tournament.
