Manoj Tiwary has a vast experience in the domestic circuit having played over 100 first-class games for Bengal. The right-handed batsman has also played a few ODIs for India but strained to stay put in his position. Subsequently, with the emergence of new cricketers, he went out of the radar of selection. The 32-year cricketer is currently playing for the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Albeit he has been seen on the ground as a substitute fielder, he hasn’t yet found a place in the eleven, which is filled with some explosive batsmen in the form of Chris Gayle, KL Rahul and Karun Nair. Lady luck turned his way on his wife’s birthday as KXIP management decided to drop Yuvraj Singh following a string of poor performances and Tiwary was included in the team against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Manoj-Susmita- The evergreen love story
Susmita Roy, his better half, is celebrating her birthday today. Manoj, on this special occasion, couldn’t hold on and wished his spouse on Twitter in the most charming way possible. He wrote- “Happy birthday 2 my sweetheart @roy_susmita7 !! U make me complete wish u abundance of love nd happiness. Hav a super duper year ahead”
The love affair between the two started way back in 2007 when they met for the first time through a common friend. They hit it off immediately and thereafter were spotted together on a lot of occasions. During the 2012 IPL, while playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), he spanked Lasith Malinga for a mammoth six and later dedicated the same to his partner after being challenged to do the same by Susmita. The couple eventually tied the knot on July 13, 2013, in Howrah as per the Bengali tradition.
Here is Tiwary’s tweet for his spouse
