Match 33 – Kolkata vs Chennai: CrickingDuels Fantasy Guide

This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the match 33 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK). It is no less than a clash of titans which will be played at the iconic Eden Gardens on Thursday. Both the teams are coming off solid victories behind them in their respective previous encounters. Also, the last time these two teams met, it was a humdinger with the Men in Yellow clinching the thriller in the last over.

But it won’t be easy to trump Dinesh Karthik and his men in their home ground with the backing of their die-hard fans. Their gun players are in form and are expected to continue in the same vein for this game as well. It remains to be seen though if they will able to trump the table toppers with the tournament going deep. The game is more important for KKR as the likes of Royals and RCB breathing down their neck. Kolkata Knight Riders vs Chennai Super Kings

Batsman

The batsmen of both the teams are in amazing form and Chris Lynn has to be selected while picking any fantasy side. Even Ambati Rayudu, the Orange Cap holder, has to be there in your team without any doubt. Suresh Raina is also a great option to have along with Robin Uthappa. Both are blowing hot and cold with their form but can change the game on any given day.

I have picked Shubman Gill here only because of the talent he showed a couple of games ago when the top order collapsed while chasing a big total. He is also available at less credits for me which will help me in picking the players in other departments easily.

All Rounders

Shane Watson is a no-brainer with the form he is in. He contributes in both all the aspects of the game and earns a lot of points. Now I have the choice of Andre Russell and Dwayne Bravo as a second all-rounder and I will go for the former with his amazing batting prowess. Even he gets 10 balls to play, the big man will make it count. You can even go for Bravo but he doesn’t get to bat much and the wickets in the death overs is not a fixed proposition from him nowadays.

Wicketkeeper

MS Dhoni has to be picked here with the way he is hitting the ball at the backend of the innings. You can go for Dinesh Karthik also as both are available at same credits but he won’t give many points given that he is not known to bat with a strike-rate like Dhoni does. If wickets fall quickly upfront then only you can hope for Karthik to make amends.

Bowlers

Sunil Narine is my first bowler here as he will surely bowl his spell of four overs and will also open the innings for KKR. His batting in the powerplay overs will be useful and will churn out a lot of points for me. Lungi Ngidi and KM Asif are my other bowlers simply going by the credits I have. Both bowl at the challenging times and have more chances of taking wickets. Here I have taken a risk as not more players would’ve gone for Asif especially so any points from him would be a bonus.
