This CrickingDuels Fantasy guide is for the match 50 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season which will be played between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP). Both the teams are in a flux as far as their respective seasons are concerned. But it could be said that the visitors are in a much better considering that they can still reach 16 points which is a qualification-deadline. The same thing cannot be said of the defending champions as they can reach only 14 points even if they win the remaining two matches.

Having said that, the NRR of Mumbai is the best and the possibility of them qualifying for the playoffs couldn’t be ignored. However, the loss will end their season prematurely. The Wankhede Stadium is set to witness the humdinger as it is potentially a knockout game for both the sides, The race for the playoffs is heating up and expect the superstars to step up in the big game. Here we bring to you the CrickingDuels Fantasy guide for the game:

Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Kings XI Punjab (KXIP):

Batsmen

The lacklustre batting form of the visitors have made me go with 3 Mumbai batsmen in this game. The openers Suryakumar Yadav and Evin Lewis have been taken on the basis of form and Rohit Sharma is the big match and my instinct says that he will play a big knock. Aaron Finch is the only batsmen in the line-up from Punjab side as he showed signs of returning to form in the last game and it will be interesting to see if he repays the faith showed in him by the team management. There are other batsmen from both the teams to pick but none of them is worthy of being picked. I am not interested in Chris Gayle anymore as his quota of performances is done it seems.

All-Rounders

I always go with Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya who always make the difference for the team in both the departments. Moreover, they are excellent fielders which churn me more points if they take a couple of game-changing catches. Marcus Stoinis is the other all-rounder in my team as I have got no option to go with an extra bowler or extra batsman. With the out-of-form middle order of Punjab, Stoinis will certainly get to bat and he scores few runs always whenever he gets the opportunity.

CrickingDuels Fantasy

Wicketkeeper

KL Rahul is my wicketkeeper without any doubt. Few would like to go with Ishan Kishan who has also played some brilliant innings but Rahul is too good this year and has been consistent as well. He needs to play extremely well against Mumbai’s bowling attack though and runs will not come easily for him. But he is the master is manipulating the ball and once he gets going, he is unstoppable.

Bowlers

Andrew Tye and Mohit Sharma are my two bowlers from the visiting side. Tye is the purple cap holder and the latter bowls at the death and can pick wickets on his day. The only bowler from Mumbai I am going in with the youngster Mayank Markande who has been the revelation this season. Though he has tailed off in the last few matches, he is expected to make the difference in the crunch games and might take wickets in this game. The fast bowlers of Mumbai are going for runs and they might be expensive again.
