Bangladesh and Pakistan are currently up in the first Test of the two-match series happening on Bangladesh soil. While Pakistan already stamped their authority in the T20I series by whitewashing the hosts, it remains to be seen if Mominul Haque and his men will be able to mark a comeback in the longest format of the game.

Talking in terms of the match and its events, a delivery by Mehidy Hasan stole all the limelight that went on to disrupt the furniture behind Pakistan’s main man Babar Azam. While Azam was trying to settle a bit on the crease, a full-length delivery by Hasan went to unsettle the off stumps of Pakistan’s skipper.

Here is the special delivery by Mehidy Hasan to clean Azam

Seeing the accuracy of the delivery placed by Hasan, Bangladeshi commentator Athar Ali Khan went super excited on air to praise the bowler. The peach of a delivery by Hasan was definitely a delight for all Bangladesh cricket fans. Hasan has been plying his trade at the international level for five years and has bagged praises from all across the world where once former Indian spinner Sunil Joshi also lauded him.

“Once I engaged him with various ideas, it got him thinking, and he would work on these at training. This built confidence, and over the past year, Mehidy has matured beyond his years. Yes, he still has a lot of work to do. He is working on a carom ball, for example. So, understanding his own game is what I have tried to facilitate by engaging him and working with him, rather than changing much with his basics,” Joshi said earlier.

Talking about the match so far, Bangladesh started their innings quite well where they posted a fine total of 330 runs on the board. Experienced campaigners like Liton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim shined for the side with the bat. While Das made a mark with his century, Rahim’s 91 added to the team’s cause. The hosts then wrapped up Pakistan on 286 runs but their start to the second innings has been a little shaky with four men lost on 39 runs only so far.
