Match Details:

The 8th game of the 2019 Oman Men’s CWC Challenge League B will be played between Italy and Hong Kong at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground Oman Cricket (Ministry Turf 1).

The match starts at 9:30 AM local time (5:30 AM GMT) (11:00 PM IST).

Preview:

Hong Kong made a super start to the CWC Challenge with consecutive wins with help of all-round performances from Kinchit Shah and Waqas Barkat. Kinchit, especially, has been brilliant with both bat and ball. In the first match, he scored an unbeaten hundred and took a couple of wickets while in the previous match, he scored an unbeaten fifty and took a 3-fer. They will now face Italy as they aim 3rd successive win of the tournament. Italy started with a win against Kenya but lost to Jersey. They will now be hoping to get back into winning ways as early as possible.

Weather Condition/Report:

The CWC Challenge will finally be troubled by the weather as there is a great chance of rain throughout the match on Sunday.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The Ministry Turf 1 has recorded three successful chases out of four matches in this tournament. The only team to win batting first in this tournament was Uganda who posted 248 and won by mere 25 runs. Considering this trend, we can say that the track here stays low and slow. Italy will be fancying their chances on such a track against Hong Kong.

Average first innings score: 210 (Matches in CWC Challenge)

Record of chasing teams: Won – 3, Lost – 1

Expert Advice:

The all-rounders’ category is packed by the players who are well-reputed. However, picking only one of Nizakat Khan and Aizaz Khan will be a safe option at the moment. Both the players are not as dominant as the others who can be effective with both bat and ball in the same game.

Probable Winners:

Hong Kong is expected to win this match.
