Much to the joy of the people who are crazy about memorabilia, Tuesday would be a special day as former Australian captain Michael Clarke would present the shirt he wore on March 29, 2015 to the Fanatic Sports Museum (FSM) in Kolkata. Two years ago on that very day, Australia scripted an emphatic win over New Zealand by seven wickets to regain the most prestigious trophy in the world of cricket.

Clarke’s autobiography would also be launched on that day by Sourav Ganguly after which the presentation of the shirt is scheduled to take place. The former Australian skipper played under Ganguly’s leadership for the Pune Warriors in the IPL. Clarke, who after losing the Ashes hung up his boots in the later stages of 2015 has already presented the FSM with a couple of memorabilia but the shirt would be the grandest of all.

The Fanatic Sports Museum is located at the Ecospace Business Park in New Town and is expected to flourish in the coming years. The Museum is filled with exciting stuff related to cricket collected by popular journalist Boria Majumdar but there are also non-cricket memorabilia such as the glove Abhinav Bindra wore when he became India’s only individual gold medalist in the Olympics.

The Kolkata Knight Riders gallery is also to be launched on April 3 at the Fanatic Sports Museum in the build up to the 10th edition of the Indian Premier League. The Knight Riders have been champions of the Indian Premier League twice under the captaincy of left-handed batsmen Gautam Gambhir and are strong contenders this time as well.

Then Australian vice-captain David Warner is also scheduled to visit the museum at Kolkata which is still in the growing stages within the first fortnight of the IPL. Later Indian left-handed all-rounder Suresh Raina who leads the Gujarat Lions in the IPL is also expected to make a visit to the Museum.
