Michael Hussey suggests Australia to include extra spinner for the final Test

The Former left-hand batsman Michael Hussey‘s advice could come in handy for the Aussies ahead of the fifth Test match at the SCG, Sydney. Despite a double ton from the visiting team ex-captain Alastair Cook, the fourth Test match at the MCG, Melbourne ended in a draw and with still a Test match left in the series, England will no longer pose a threat to Australia.

The home team has a great chance to freely experiment some changes to the playing XI for the fifth and the final Test match at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The former left-hand batsman Michael Hussey believes that an additional slow bowler could definitely make a difference at the spin bowling friendly SCG pitch.

Hussey’s Suggestion

Mr.Cricket Michael Hussey has now come to aid his team with a perfect suggestion. He suggests the captain Steve Smith to include an extra spinner to assist the front line spinner, Nathan Lyon.

“I’d expect a spinner to come into the squad (but I’m not sure) who it might be. I heard (Starc) was quite close to playing here in Melbourne, so you’d expect him to be fit for Sydney and that would be a huge in for Australia” said Hussey according to cricket.com.au.

Possible candidates

Later the 42-year-old pointed out at the potential contenders and quoted, “I think in the short form of the game they like Ashton Agar because he fields well and he bats well and he’s a developing bowler, he’s getting better and better every year. He’s certainly one the selectors have got their eye on.”

“Stephen O’Keefe has been a quality bowler for a long time for New South Wales. I don’t know which way they’re going to go, it’s going to be interesting,” added Hussey.
