Michael Vaughan has been very active on social media these days and more often than not predicts the series results to get the fans and followers engaged. He was also the part of the commentary team for the Fox Sports in the first couple of Test of the series between Australia and India. Vaughan left the country to go back home for Christmas and the New Year but is still vividly expressing his views about the proceedings down under.
With India more or less sealing the series after scoring a mammoth 622/7 in the first innings, the former England skipper is immensely impressed with Rishabh Pant. The wicketkeeper-batsman brought his exceptional batting skills to the fore and smacked 159* runs while stitching important partnerships first with Cheteshwar Pujara and then Ravindra Jadeja.
He’s good on stump mic as well
Michael Vaughan, in his tweet dedicated to Pant entirely, termed the 21-year-old as the game’s next superstar while admiring his skills as a cricketer. He also hilariously pointed out that Pant’s stump mic sense indirectly referring to the banter between him and Tim Paine which has gone viral like anything over the last few days.
“So young .. But @RishabPant777 is Crickets next superstar .. So much skill,Power & touch .. & very good on the stump mic .. #AUSvIND,” his tweet read.

Pant has been really good overall in this series so far and has accumulated runs more than his Virat Kohli as well. He has more than 20 dismissals also as the records are being one after the other over the last seven innings whenever he has stepped on the field. In what could’ve been the perfect day of Test cricket for him, Rishabh Pant marred all the hard work with the bat by dropping Usman Khawaja at the fag end of the day when he was 0.
Australia have ended the day with 24 runs on the board and are still lagging by 598 runs at the moment. They will be looking to respond well to the total and keep themselves in the game.
