Former England skipper Michael Vaughan is known for actively giving his opinions about cricket matters going around the world. In fact, he has been a big critic of India right from the day their Australia tour began in November. Firstly, he predicted that Australia will defeat India in all the formats. When India won the T20I series, he came up with another one where he added it was not expected by him that will win the T20I series.

Vaughan tweeted that hosts will smoke India 4-0 in the Test series and got further adamant when India displayed an utterly dismal show at Adelaide. India got bundled up at just 36 runs in the second innings, and he tweeted that how he was correct in his predictions. However, when India put up a great comeback in Melbourne, he took a U-turn and started applauding the efforts of the team and Ajinkya Rahane as a skipper.

He was even in awe of India’s great performance at SCG, where Hanuma Vihari and Ravi Ashwin brought India out from the mouth of defeat and drew the match. He tweeted in favour of India, and in the latest turn of events, he is again on India’s side for the 4th Test, where Washinton Sundar and Shardul Thakur fought like brave lions to bring India back in the game.

India have a very strong bench of players now: Michael Vaughan

The team was struggling big time with their injury woes, and that is when Thakur and Sundar rose to the occasion and established a record 7th wicket partnership of 123 runs. The fifties by both the inexperienced players brought team India back in the game as they ended their first innings on 336 runs.

“Full credit to India … The character they have had to show on this tour has been remarkable … also the resilience with so many injuries … a team is only as good as its bench many say … Well, India have a very strong bench of players now … #AUSvIND,” Vaughan tweeted.

Australia are back on the crease and are playing on 21 runs, and it would be a thing to see who would steal the Border-Gavaskar Trophy from here on.
