Former Australian quick Mitchell Johnson has picked his favorite batsmen currently in the world. He feels Indian limited overs skipper MS Dhoni, South Africa batting ace AB de Villiers, Aussie national captain Steven Smith, England’s most talented batsman Joe Root and Black Caps skipper Kane Williamson are the best batsmen (in the T20 format assumably).

Fans were quick to come up with suggestions and questions on his post. He chose to answer some while ignoring others. One fan asked him about Virat Kohli and Hashim Amla.

Johnson replied, “@HaqparastPak how could I forget Amla #class”

His choice is not bad at all considering the amount of impact all the five players have in the T20 format. MS Dhoni, who looked to be fading away with age catching up has re-invented his batting form after a brief rough patch. The India limited-overs skipper has led his team very well and has performed the duties of the finisher in the team with full authority.

The second batsman of his choice, AB de Villiers, is a maverick and has no haters as far as his batting is concerned. His audacious batting is an awesome spectacle to watch. Joe Root has emerged as England’s most talented batsman across all formats. The cool right-hander bats at the vital number three position and has been impactful with the bat for his team in the ongoing World T20.

Steven Smith makes unorthodoxy look extremely pleasant. Smith’s batting has thrived under the pressure of leading the most passionate and aggressive team. He is one the best in the world according to many. Lastly, Kane Williamson known for his monk-like calmness and an astute cricketing brain has been performing for New Zealand amazingly. Similar to Steven Smith and Joe Root, the new Black Caps skipper is a tremendous performer across all formats.
