Mithali Raj donates INR 5 Lakhs each to PM CARES and CM Relief fund in the fight against Coronavirus

Coronavirus pandemic continues to wreak havoc across different spheres of life. Every single individual has been lockdown in their homes to stay away from getting infected with the novel virus. From rich to poor, no one is safe at the moment from the same. So, the governments have announced lockdown in their respective states.

On March 24, Narendra Modi, the honourable Prime Minister of India announced lockdown in India to bring down the rate due Coronavirus to a halt. The transmission of COVID-19 has taken several lives across the globe. And, this was the main reason that forced the Indian PM to take such a difficult step.

However, the poor and the needy, who were dependent on their daily earnings were dealt with a major blow. So, Narendra Modi also urged every Indian to start giving some kind of aid as a part of their valuable contribution in stiff conditions.

Mithali Raj also joins hands in the fight against Coronavirus

Mithali Raj, the former Indian skipper has now come forward to help the poor and the needy. She took to her official handle and informed everyone about her contribution. The 37-year-old said that she is donating a sum of INR 5 Lakhs to the PM-Cares Relief fund and 5 Lakhs to Telangana Chief Minister’s fund.

The former India skipper shared a post and wrote,” All of us need to join hands in this fight against the deadly coronavirus. I pledge to contribute my little bit – Rs. 5 lakh to The PM – CARES Fund and Rs 5 lakh to the Telangana Chief Minister’s Relief Fund . #PMCARES @PMOIndia@narendramodiJi@TelanganaCMO.

Earlier, players like Suresh Raina, Gautam Gambhir, Sourav Ganguly contributed to big amount to Prime Minister’s Relief Care funds to give aid to the ones, who are suffering to an extent at the moment.
