Team Pakistan is all set to take on New Zealand for some exciting brand of limited overs cricket. The men in green are scheduled to play 5 ODIs and 3 T20Is on their tour to New Zealand. The team recently departed from Lahore. As the players took off for the important tour, key members of the team like Hasan Ali and Mohammad Amir, have requested the fans to pray for them.

Both Hasan Ali and Mohammad Amir are expected to play key roles for the Pakistani side on the tour. Last season, they had toured New Zealand for two Test matches. Unfortunately for them, they were drubbed 0-2 in the series. Now, they have the opportunity to balance out the scores in the limited overs cricket. Hasan Ali, in particular, is being seen as the trump card for Pakistan. He has seen a meteoric rise in his stature over the last twelve months.

Meanwhile, Pakistani camp has been oozing confidence ahead of the tour. Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed recently stressed on the importance of playing aggressive cricket. He had cited that unless one plays aggressive cricket in tough New Zealand conditions, they do not stand a chance to make an impact. Also, Pakistan’s bowling coach Azhar Mahmood had conceded that bowling will be their strength on the tour.

“We want to play positive cricket. In places such as New Zealand, if you don’t play attacking cricket, bowlers usually get the upper hand,” skipper Sarfraz had quoted earlier.

Hasan Ali is all set to take the new ball in the series that kick starts on January 6. In his tweet, he mentioned that the team is leaving for the tour. He asked the fans to remember them in their prayers.

Here is what Hasan Ali tweeted:

“Leaving for NZ tour keep remembering in your prayers,” he wrote.

Here is what Mohammad Amir tweeted:

“Going to New zealand need ur prayers,” Mohammad Amir wrote.
