Sarfaraz Ahmed, Fakhar Zaman, and Haider Ali have been included in the squad whereas Azam Khan and Mohammad Hasnain have been dropped completely. On the other hand, Khushdil Shah has slipped into the reserves category. Taking a sly dig in the same light of events, former Pakistan pacer Mohammad Amir stated that ace batsman Shoaib Malik, Sharjeel Khan, and Wahab Riaz should have got the call-up. However, he concluded by adding that we all should support our team.

“I still believe @realshoaibmalik @SharjeelLeo14 @WahabViki they should be in the squad but hwa wohi hai 2 tere or 2 mere but it’s time to support our team,” tweeted Mohammad Amir.

Mohammad Amir opens up on new changes in the T20 WC squad

It is known that Pakistan pacer Amir announced a sudden retirement from national cricket owing to some differences with the board. However, he came up to offer his opinion at a crucial juncture. As soon as the new changes were announced, the chief selector of Pakistan, Khan came to state that three in-form players have been included in the squad. On the other hand, Azam, Khushdil, and Hasnain shouldn’t worry too much as they still have a lot to offer in their respective careers.

“The three in-form players [included] bring with them a wealth of experience and talent and provide further stability, balance, and strength to the side. It must be tough for Azam, Khushdil, and Hasnain for missing out, but they still have a lot to offer in their careers. They are in our future plans as a lot of cricket has to be played post the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021 and in the lead up to the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia,” said chief selector Mohammad Wasim earlier.
