Mohammad Nabi inducted as one of the board members of Afghanistan Cricket Board
The star all-rounder will be next seen in Shpageeza Cricket League.

Mohammad Nabi, the Afganistan all-rounder is one of the important cricketers of the Asian nation. The right-hander has been a consistent performer for his national team over the years and he has also achieved many milestones playing all around the globe in various T20 leagues.
The all-rounder, however, took retirement from Test cricket after featuring in only three Tests for his country. He still plays limited-overs cricket for his nation. As per the latest developments, Nabi has been inducted as one of the four board members of the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB). The other three members include Minister of Women’s affairs, Hasina Safi, Member of Parliament from Kandahar, Rohullah Khanzada, and senior advisor to the first vice-president of Afganistan, Haroon Mir.
ACB circulated a press release, which read, “The members who were replaced include Minister of Urban Development, Land Mohammad Jawad Patkar, former Deputy Minister of Industries and Commerce Kamela Siddiqui, former minister of Transport Hamid Tahmasi and for Afghan Ambassador to Islamabad Shukrullah Atif Mashal.”
ACB consists of nine members in total. In addition to the newly inducted members, the others include, the Board Chairman Farhad Yousefzai, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Zia-ul-Haq Amarkheil, Senator Gulalai Noor Safi, former Deputy of Cultural Affairs at the Administration Office of the President Faraidoon Elham and Business tycoon Abdul Rahman Alokozay.
Mohammad Nabi will lead Mis Ainak Knights in the Shpageeza Cricket League 2020
The star all-rounder will be next seen in Shpageeza Cricket League. It is the biggest cricket league organized by Afganistan Cricket Board. The tournament will kick off from 6th September and the final will be played on 18th September. He captains the team ‘Mis Ainak Knights’. The team won the last year’s tournament under Nabi’s leadership and will be looking forward to defending their title this season.
Nabi will also feature in the pinnacle T20 Cricket League, Indian Premier League. He represents Sunrisers Hyderabad in extravaganza along with his countryman Rashid Khan. The tournament has been shifted to UAE this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will be interesting to see how Rashid, Nabi, and Mujeeb ur Rahman will feature in IPL. The protocols set by BCCI also includes self-quarantine for players when they reach the UAE.
