Mohammed Shami shares a heartfelt message after proven innocent

Mohammed Shami hasn’t had an overwhelming time over the past few weeks. Several chats and messages were released by his spouse Hasin Jahan following which accused the pace of multiple charges which included match-fixing, extra-marital, domestic violence and death threats. His career went into the doldrums as the police delved deep into the heart of the matter. To make things worse, his annual contract had been withheld by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

Moreover, his chances of participation for the Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League (IPL) also came under the clouds. Meanwhile, several former cricketers came out in support of the Indian pacer and questioned the claims by Hasin Jahan. Even Shami asked for the investigations to be completed at the earliest as his training has been halted owing to the same. However, the Indian pacer has recently been proven innocent pertaining to charges of match-fixing.

The innocence of Shami

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) of the BCCI, headed by Vinod Rai, ordered the Anti Corruption Unit (ACU) to submit a report pertaining to the case. Even the Kolkata police strained every muscle to churn out the reality. Recently they ACU came up with the report mentioning that further investigations aren’t required, which justified Shami’s innocence.

Quite expectantly, Shami was elated at the decision. He later took to Twitter and shared a heartfelt message for his fans and supporters on Twitter, a social media platform. Here is the translation of the message.

“I heartily thank my friends for trusting me throughout. You guys stood beside and showered love on me during the difficult times. I used to play for my country, I used to play for my people and I will continue doing so in the future”
