While the game of cricket has come to a standstill, fans are just reading about their favorite cricketers to feel in touch with cricket. With England vs West Indies Test series finally arriving, there’s a ray of hope for the fans that all cricket would soon resume.

The increasing T20 leagues have contributed to the players of different countries becoming fairly close. The increasing banter between their favorite cricketers is something that the fans look forward to. IPL, being the cash-rich league, has played a vital role in building camaraderie between Indian and overseas cricketers.

Indians are often known around the world as strong promoters of their culture. Well, how can Indian cricketers remain behind in this tradition? Indian pacer Mohammed Shami utilized an opportunity at an airport to teach fellow Kings XI Punjab cricketer Nicholas Pooran some Hindi in a throwback video that’s going viral now.

“Aap kahan jaa rahe ho,” says Shami which Pooran tries to repeat. While he fumbles in the initial attempts we see how the West Indian cricketer does not give up. After a couple of failed attempts, he finally gets it right. It is definitely a sight to see for the cricketing fans and they can have a good laugh.

Mohammed Shami and Nicholas Pooran will be back in action soon

With the Caribbean Premier League scheduled to start on 18 August, fans may soon see Nicholas Pooran in action. However, the BCCI has given no update yet and it would be interesting to see when they will finally announce training camps for the cricketers. Bowling coach Bharat Arun had said that the Indian cricketers would need at least 6 weeks of training camps before resuming international cricket.

Punjab who had finished 6th in the IPL 2019 will hope for an improved performance this time around. Nicholas Pooran and Mohammed Shami will be two vital cogs in determining how far the Kings XI Punjab team would go in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. KL Rahul would also be seen leading the side for the very first time.
