Mohammed Shami's wife Hasin Jahan puts up a congratulatory post for India on Ram Mandir bhoomi poojan; gets threatened on social media

Mohammed Shami’s estranged wife Hasin Jahan has congratulated the whole country on Ram Mandir bhoomi poojan in Ayodhya. She took to her social media handles to congratulate all the Hindu people for the same and also posted one of the pictures of the newly-built temple.

However, this hasn’t gone down well with some. Some people have threatened her in the comments and Hasin Jahan herself has revealed it. She has already lodged a complaint at the Lalbazar Police Station under the cybercrime department and is expecting the action to be taken soon. No arrests have been made in the case yet.

“Congratulating all the Hindus for the Bhoomi Puja of Ram Mandir in Ayodha,” she wrote in Hindi on her official Instagram handle. However, soon after that a user named Hasib Khan verbally abused her in the comments and threatened her.

“On August 5, Ram Mandir was rebuilt and therefore I congratulated all of my Hindu brothers and sisters on social media. But then some mean-minded Muslims commented on my post. They have given rape threats and even murder threats,” she was quoted as saying by India Today.

Hasin Jahan feeling helpless

In her complaint, she has also attached the screenshots of the comments and has stated that she is feared and worried about her daughter. Hasin Jahan also went on to say that if the attacks on social media continues, she might even go into depression and is hoping for the officials to take quick action.

“Same people are continuously threatening me on raping and molesting also. In this situation, I am feeling helpless and worried about my daughter’s future also. This continuous attack through social media like Instagram, Facebook and Twitter make me jeopardised, please help me as I am feeling in secured every moment. If this continues I will be mentally depressed and dejected.

“I will be highly obliged if you kindly take immediate action. I am feeling highly insecure as I live alone with my daughters. Now every second has become a nightmare for me,” Jahan added. Previously, she was in the news for rifts with her cricketer husband Mohammed Shami and had also filed a complaint against him.
