Former Pakistani cricketer and the current head coach of the Quetta Gladiators, Moin Khan, is absolutely unhappy with the way the overseas cricketers have behaved in the Pakistan Super League. Reportedly, he is unhappy with the commitment that the overseas played have shown over the last couple of years in the tournament.

The former skipper feels that the players are showing double standards in the tournament. At one end, they speak and vouch for revival of cricket in Pakistan. At the same time, they end up refusing to play the PSL in Pakistan. This year, several big names have already confirmed that they will not take part in the PSL matches to be played in Pakistan. Moin Khan certainly knows the value of this.

His franchise, the Quetta Gladiators, have arguably been the worst hit team of this policy of the overseas players. Last year, the Gladiators looked like the best outfit in the competition. However, they lost the services of their key overseas players when it came to the finals. The finals of PSL 2017 was played in Lahore and the big names of the side like Kevin Pietersen opted out of it. As a result, the team fielded a second string side with ‘makeshift’ overseas players and ended up losing the game.

Don’t invite Morgan, Pietersen for PSL

Now, as per the recent reports in the Geo News, Moin Khan has remarked that such players do not wish good for Pakistan cricket. Pietersen (Quetta Gladiators) and Eoin Morgan (Karachi Kings) have refused to tour Pakistan. Hence, Moin wants these players to not be invited for the PSL in the future editions.

On Narine’s bowling action

Furthermore, Moin Khan spoke about the recent suspect bowling action of Sunil Narine being reported in the tournament. Moin feels that the administrators have been showing some double standards in this regard as well.

He noted that the likes of Saeed Ajmal and Mohammad Hafeez were prohibited from bowling for their actions. However, someone like Sunil Narine was allowed to bowl with a suspect action and a report about his action went forward only after he played almost all the league matches.
