Moises Henriques and Rory Burns injured in on-field collision: The Natwest Blast T20 match between Sussex and Surrey has been abandoned after Rory Burns and Moises Henriques collided while trying to take a high catch during the the 1st innings of the match at Arundel.

Playing for Surrey, Henriques and Burns went for a high catch during the 19th over of Sussex’s innings and ended up get colliding in a ugly way. As per the journos covering the game, Henriques’ head got collided with Burns between head and neck and both players fell unconscious- on the field.

Medical staff and teammates rush to help after Burns and Henriques immediately. Soon three ambulances were quick in reaching the ground.

Surrey’s Rory Burns was believed to have been unconscious for about five minutes after the collision and Moises Henriques, the other player involved, is thought to have lost teeth and broken his jaw.

Moises Henriques was first removed from the field of play in an ambulance, with other players fearing he had lost his teeth after they smashed into Burns’ head.

And Burns, a popular young all-rounder who came through the Surrey’s academy, was left unconscious and with cuts to his face.

Scary scenes were happening on the Cricket field with both the players on the ground unconsciously and the treatment kept going on.

Finally Henriques came into conscious state and was taken into ambulance with stretcher and he waved his hand as a indication that he is all right.

After a while, Rory Burns was seen taking on stretcher into ambulance and the local guy gave thumps up.

The pair were taken to hospital, although Surrey confirmed they were both sitting up and conscious.

And later the match was announced to be abandoned but no one from crowd showed any signs of displeacuse, actually there was round of applause from them after the announcement was made.

As of now, Henriques had an X-Ray to his jaw and awaiting for the results. And Rory Burns is chatting with the staff awaiting to meet a specialist doctor.
