Australian all-rounder Moises Henriques is having a good time in the Indian Premier League this season. Henriques has three fifties to his name in the tournament thus far for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has been a key part of the defending champions roster for quite some time now. The Sunrisers Hyderabad is known for unearthing special young talents every year.

Last year, premier Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman had been the talk of the town. This year, it has been the young Afghanistan leggie Rashid Khan, who has been hitting the headlines too often. This is the first time when the Afghanistani spinner is playing in a T20 league of such a huge stature. Moises Henriques believes that both Rashid and Mustafizur are good enough to play in the Big Bash League as well.

He noted that Rashid is very hard to pick in the net sessions. The 18-year-old is renowned to bowl multiple variations and is a wily customer to deal with. Moises, who is a key member of the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, is keen on seeing Rashid in the BBL this year for his franchise.

“I still can’t pick him [Rashid] in the nets. He bowls nearly 100km/h and gets the ball to spin a little bit both ways. It is something definitely worth contemplating for the Sixers,” the all-rounder remarked.

Talents from developing nations

He further added that not signing such talents only because of the reason that they are from the developing nations will be an unfair deal. Moises called himself lucky to be a part of the camp that has such good emerging talents like Rashid and Mustafizur. He is certain that if given a chance, both will do wonders in the Australian T20 league as well.

“I think teams will be silly to pass off the opportunity to not signing guys just because they are from developing cricketing nations. Players such as Rashid and also Mustafizur, I’ve been lucky enough to play with both of them and they have been able to mix it with the very best in the world and I’m sure they are good enough to be in the BBL competition,” quoted Moises Henriques.
