The Multiply Titans will face the Cape Cobras on Friday in the Momentum One-Day Cup match at the Newlands. The Titans went down against Highveld Lions by 8 wickets on Wednesday while defending their total of 309/7. Dean Elgar came up with a brilliant knock at No.4 position scoring a 121-ball 137 with ten fours and six sixes. Chris Morris smashed a 21-ball 50 in the end but couldn’t save the team from losing with the ball.
The exit of the likes of Lungi Ngidi and Tabraiz Shamsi will further weaken the bowling of the Titans. Cape Cobras, on the other hand, will be boosted by the return of Hashim Amla and JP Duminy. This tournament will be a crucial one for Amla who needs a revival to his career that is on a downward stride. Duminy is returning from an injury and will be leading the Cobras who won two of the four matches they played thus far.
