Asia Cup 2023: Most Maidens in Asia Cup History

Talking about the ODI format of the Asia Cup, there have been many legendary bowlers who have competed in the tournament and even earned many maiden overs. However, former Sri Lankan pacer Chaminda Vaas sits in first place with the most maidens earned in the ODI format of the tournament. With 20 maidens, Vaas is in first place, as he truly was a force to be reckoned with in his prime. 

Furthermore, the former Sri Lankan is followed by his fellow teammate Muttiah Muralitharan, who earned 13 maiden overs in the ODI Asia Cup. In third place is yet another former Sri Lanka cricketer, Nuwan Tharanga Zoysa, with 11 maidens to his name. The top three are followed by Abdur Razzak and Manoj Prabhakar, who earned 10 and nine maidens, respectively.  

Talking about the T20I format of the Asia Cup, veteran Indian pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar leads the pack for the most maidens earned in the T20I Asia Cup. In six matches, Kumar has three maiden overs to his name.  

He is closely followed by Jasprit Bumrah, who has bowled two maiden overs in five matches, and the UAE’s Mohammad Naveed, who also has two maidens to his name in seven matches. Furthermore, Fazalhaq Farooqi and Harbhajan Singh have one maiden each.
