Personal details of former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni was shared on social media by an agency which helps Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) enroll citizens for Aadhar, out of over-enthusiasm. The World Cup winning captain’s wife Sakshi Singh was quick to inform about the illegal activity to Union Law and Information and Technology Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Twitter.

The minister in return was quick to reply and promised action against the same declaring that sharing personal details is illegal. Sakshi was extremely disappointed with the fact that a photo of MS Dhoni’s Aadhar card application was posted on Twitter which leaked all his Aadhar details.  She quickly involved herself in a discussion with minister Ravi Shankar Prasad looking for a solution.

The agency’s Common Services Center (CSC) had posted a tweet on Tuesday through its handle stating: “Ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni and his family get their Aadhaar updated at VLE Mariya Farooqui’s CSE at Ranchi, Jharkhand”

Ravi Shankar Prasad was tagged in the tweet and two photographs were posted on the popular social media website. One was of MS Dhoni with a CSC representative who was updating his biometric information in the system and another was of the 35-year old’s personal details on which appeared to be the Aadhar website.

The tweet with the details was later removed but Sakshi took a dig at the agency for leaking the personal information. Sakshi tweeted “Is there any privacy left? Information of Adhaar card, including application, is made public property”

Minister Ravi Shankar Yadav thanked Sakshi for bringing the fact to his notice. He in return tweeted “@SaakshiSRawat Thanks for bringing this to my notice. Sharing personal information is illegal. Serious action will be taken against this.”

Sakshi then appreciated the quick response from the minister addressing the issue.
