MS Dhoni is an avid fan of bikes and cars and he has a wide range of automobile collections at his luxurious farmhouse in Ranchi. When it comes to car collections, Dhoni has a collection of vintage cars too. As per reports, the veteran stumper also has a love for SUVs and owns Hummer H2, Nissan 1 ton Jonga and one of the most powerful SUV Jeep Grand Cherokee TrackHawk.
Now, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has one more addition in his car collection and it happens to be a Land Rover. Lately, it has been revealed that MS Dhoni has purchased a 1971 Land Rover Series 3 Station Wagon. As per multiple reports, the legendary captain has bought the vintage car in an online auction where he had seen 19 other luxury cars listed as well including the likes of Rolls Royces, Cadillacs, Buicks, Chevrolets, Land Rovers, Austin, Mercedes, etc.
As far as the car’s features are concerned, the 1971 Land Rover Series 3 Station Wagon which the 2011 World Cup-winning skipper now proudly owns comes with a shade of yellow and was arguably the most popular Land Rover series between 1971 to 1985. The car comes in a dual-tone finish of mustard and white.
At the time the vintage car was manufactured, engine options ranged from a 2.3-litre four-cylinder petrol engine to a 3.5-litre V8 with a four-speed manual transmission and a 2-speed manual transfer case. As of now, there are no details on engine features of the car bought by Dhoni.
MS Dhoni next to be seen in IPL 2022
Dhoni will next be seen in action on the cricket field during the IPL 2022 this summer. He was retained by the Chennai Super Kings for a sum of INR 12 crores. The MSD-led CSK will be defending their title in the upcoming season. They had got the better of Kolkata Knight Riders in last year’s final to win their fourth IPL crown.
Months before the IPL 2022 mega auction, CSK decided to retain promising batter Ruturaj Gaikwad, star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja and his England counterpart Moeen Ali apart from MS Dhoni. It would now be interesting to see which all players would be joining the reigning champions in February’s mega auction.
