MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag to play at Cricket for Heroes charity match in England: Mahendra Singh Dhoni will be seen participating in the T20 match at Oval. The match will be played as a part for charity organization in England and is scheduled to be held on September 17. The charity event called Cricket for Heroes has organized the first international fundraiser for Help for Heroes.

The Indian limited over captain, MS Dhoni will be a part of the match and will play under the captaincy of Andrew Strauss the England team Director and former skipper. His team Help for Heroes includes Virender Sehwag, Shahid Afridi and Graeme Swann. Dhoni’s side that will play against the Rest of the Worlds XI will be led by the New Zealand captain Brendon McCullum. Brain Lara, Mathew Hayden, Graeme Smith and Mahela Jayawardene will play under the captaincy of McCullum.

According to a report from Wisden India, Dhoni said, “I am delighted to be joining so many cricketing superstars at the Kia Oval on Thursday September 17 and supporting such a worthy cause. I’ve always enjoyed playing cricket in England and I would urge all sports fans to support Help for Heroes on September 17 and watch some truly world class performers in action.”

The Rest of the World side will be coached by the teams of Gary Kirsten and Sunil Gavaskar whereas the Help for Heroes XI will train under the former English all-rounder, Sir Ian Botham.

The match will be held prior to a clash T20 between the Help for Heroes Cricket Club and England Physically Disabled Team.

Rest of the World: Brendon McCullum (c), Matthew Hayden, Graeme Smith, Mahela Jayawardene, Major Storm Green, Brian Lara, Abdul Razzaq, Scott Styris, Dan Vettori, Tim Southee, Shapoor Zadran, (12th member yet not confirmed).
