MS Dhoni breaks up with N Srinivasan after Chennai ODI: Indian captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni met ICC and former BCCI boss N Srinivasan in Chennai after the series levelling win at the Chepauk. Dhoni met Srinivasan in purely personal capacity. Those familiar with the relation between the two would know that their relation is no less than a father-son relation. And we know being Srinivasan’s son is much better than being his son-in-law.

This time when Dhoni and Srini met, the mood was rather sombre, as MS reportedly informed Srini Mama about his intentions to play for another team in the next year’s IPL as CSK is banned. Onlookers say the scene was reminiscent of the SRK-Amitabh Bachchan separation scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham. Some even said they could hear K3G background music when Dhoni came to meet Srinivasan.

Our most honest reporter, Arnab Gosai had known about this meeting before hand and had placed an audio recorder in the room. We have some excerpts from what happened inside the room when these guys met:

Dhoni: Khush toh bahut honge tum?

Srinivasan: What Khush, Dhoni pa. You seem to have forgotten your Srini Mama. We were together for 8 years, from CSK to India Cements we were in it together and now suddenly want to leave?

Dhoni: I know Srini Mama. But what can I do? You couldn’t rein in Guru and you can see the consequences. You left BCCI and handled ICC never understanding what Raina and Jaddu would do without you.

Srinivasan: All this I did for them only. When I was there I told South Africa not to bowl bouncers to Raina and asked every batsman in the world to not hit Jaddu for more than one six in an over.

Dhoni: And still both of them failed. They even dropped Jaddu. What do I do Srini Mama?

Srinivasan: I know I might have made a mistake, I think I can rectify it.

Dhoni: I have made my decision. It is too late in the day. I am going to go in the auction pool and play for another team.

Srinivasan: But Dhoni. Don’t go please!!!!!!

Dhoni: You can’t change my decision Mama.

Srinivasan: Fine, if you want to go. Go. But remember, Aaj mere paas paisa hai, bangla hai, gaadi hai, naukar hai, bank balance hai, aur tumhare paas kya hai?

Dhoni: Mere paas RAINA hai!

At this point the meeting ended and people present there informed us that a wall has come between Mr Srinivasan and Dhoni. It would be ironic if that wall would be made from India Cements’ raw material. What happens to the future of this partnership is to be seen as BCCI is yet to announce the 2 new teams that will participate in the coming IPL.
