MS Dhoni Cricket Academy all set to be launched in Singapore

This will be the second MS Dhoni Cricket Academy launched outside India.

Veteran Indian cricketer, MS Dhoni, is all set to launch his cricket academy at Singapore. The academy will be launched on January 20, 2018 at the St. Patrick’s School in Singapore. This will be the second MS Dhoni Cricket Academy launched outside India. The academy is set to follow a curriculum that has been designed by Dhoni himself.

The first academy set up under the brand was in Dubai last year. At Singapore, the former Indian captain is set to work with Singapore women’s team captain G.K. Diviya along with Singapore men’s players Chetan Suryavanshi and Chaminda Ruwan.

As per the quotes in Straitstimes, MS Dhoni had recently emphazised on the importance of sports. Interestingly, Dhoni is working with Academia7, the franchise holder for the academy in 13 countries, and sports management company Aarka Sports to establish up to 12 other academies in the Asian continent.

“Sports should be an essential driver for the development of a child’s character. Apart from being fit, you can learn leadership and other important aspects of life via sports. Every kid should play an outdoor sport. MS Dhoni Cricket Academy is not only about producing cricket talent, but our academy’s vision is to guide a kid to become a champion in life via sports,” MS Dhoni quoted in a statement released on Friday (January 5).

Chance to meet MS Dhoni

The academy is also set to provide the fans an opportunity to meet the legendary Indian cricketer. In order to meet Dhoni, the fans and the participants of the academy are expected to fill out the registrations available on the official website of the academy. The registrations can be found under the “In Conversation with MS Dhoni” tab on the website.

Also, the registered members will stand a good chance of winning some delightful sports memorabilia. At the Singapore academy, over 200 students have already enrolled themselves. The academy is open to everyone over the age of 6 years. There are corporate packages available as well.
