Former Indian captain MS Dhoni recently attended a wedding in Jaipur alongside his family. While the veteran wicketkeeper-batter isn’t active on social media platforms, several photos and videos of him from the wedding are doing rounds on social media. A boomerang has also gone viral in which the Indian cricket legend can be seen having fun with his wife Sakshi Rawat and a friend.

For the unversed, the Dhoni family attended the wedding of former aviation minister Praful Patel’s son Prajay, who tied the knot with Shivika from Jaipur’s Punglia family. Their wedding reception and some other functions are being held in Jaipur. Many prominent celebrities and politicians attended the wedding and the Chennai Super Kings captain was also one of them.

Meanwhile, a boomerang video of Dhoni and Sakshi from the wedding function has gone viral. The latter shared the clip on her Instagram story on Saturday (December 18). The veteran cricketer is sporting a tuxedo as he looks dashing in his outset. On the other hand, his better half is sporting a blue dress in the function.

Sakshi celebrates 14 years with MS Dhoni

Meanwhile, Sakshi, on Sunday (December 19), celebrated 14 years of knowing the wicketkeeper-batter. While the love birds tied knots in 2010, they first interacted in 2007. “Cheers to the “14 years” of knowing each other ! #december #jabwemet,” wrote Sakshi while sharing a picture from the same marriage function.

On the work front, Dhoni was last seen in the 2021 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he guided CSK to their fourth title. As the 41-year-old endured a hard time with the bat, speculations were CSK might not retain him ahead of the next season. However, the owners of the franchise continued to showcase their trust on the cricketer and retained him.

Notably, a mega auction will take place ahead of IPL 2022. Hence, all the eight existing IPL teams were allowed to retain a maximum of just four players. CSK used all their retention cards and extended their association with Dhoni. The former Indian international is the franchise’s second retention with all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja being the first. Moeen Ali and Ruturaj Gaikwad are CSK’s other two retentions.
