MS Dhoni is indeed one of the finest wicketkeeper-batsmen ever. The former Indian captain has dismantled many formidable bowling line-ups while his precise glovework kept the batsmen on their heels. On top of that, Dhoni has been a brilliant captain, and numerous cricketers owe their careers to him. While the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain has inspired many cricketers worldwide, he has also motivated Parth Samthaan.

Samthaan, who is currently seen on the show Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu, is one of the most popular faces in the Indian TV industry. In a recent interaction, the 30-year-old revealed that he looks up to many Hollywood and Bollywood actors, but Dhoni is the biggest inspiration of his life. Hailing the 2011 World Cup-winning captain as a legend, Samthaan said that Dhoni motivates him to work hard and move forward regularly.

MS Dhoni is a legend who inspires me: Parth Samthaan

“While the acting process of a lot of Bollywood and Hollywood actors inspire me, the person who is my biggest source of inspiration is MS Dhoni. From the way he carries himself to his nature, I’m inspired by him,” the Kasautii Zindagii Kay star was quoted as saying by LatestLY.

“His thought process motivates me a lot as well. He is a legend who inspires me. He helps me move forward and, most importantly, reach my goal with hard work,” says Parth. The streak of discipline, he says, is important for an actor,” he added.

Meanwhile, Dhoni was last seen in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021, which got postponed midway after several players and staff members contracted the COVID-19 virus. CSK would have been one of the most disappointed teams with the season suspension as they were on a roll. Having won five of their first seven games, CSK were second in the team standings and were cruising towards a place in the Playoffs.

While Dhoni couldn’t do much with the bat, he was sharp behind the stumps, and his on-field decisions were also brilliant. Hence, he would be raring to take the field again and guide CSK to glory. BCCI currently plans to conduct the remaining season in September but finding a window in the packed cricket calendar will take some beating.
