The much-awaited biopic of the most celebrated Indian cricketer, Sachin Tendulkar, is all set to hit the cinema theaters of May 26. The fans are eagerly waiting for the movie and it comes as no surprise to see the anticipation build up this way. Recently, the members of the Indian team had attended the special screening of the movie in Mumbai before heading to England for the Champions Trophy. Former skipper MS Dhoni seemed to have loved the movie.

After the screening was done, the players were in awe for the movie and gave positive feedback about the same. MS Dhoni seemed to be no different. As per the quotes in DNA India, Dhoni heaped praises on the movie titled ‘Sachin: A billion dreams’. He quoted that it is always a good thing to see what the loved ones thought about Sachin during his playing days.

“It’s interesting to get comments from people who were close to him, like family members and friends. Another nice thing was seeing Anjali (Sachin’s wife Anjali Tendulkar) bhabhi talking about what he thought different things,” MS Dhoni quoted.

Dhoni misses these the most

He further added that there was one aspect of the biopic which he misses a lot. The movie saw a lot of family videos of Sachin’s life. Dhoni regretted that he is not having too many such videos to relive the moments of his life. MS Dhoni looked quite emotional when he noted that the movie had several things that would inspire the youngsters. The amount of effort that Sachin put into cricket, and the struggles he had during his playing days, and the support of the loved ones – it all cumulated to be a brilliant story.

One thing to die for in the movie are the family videos (gets a look of regret on his face). That’s something that I miss. I don’t have a lot of family videos. There are quite a few videos in there where paaji (Sachin) is playing with his kids, moments with Anjali bhabhi, parents, and all of that,” said Dhoni.

“There are many inspiring things for youngsters to see. It’s not just about having talent, it’s the hard-work that goes through. I think it’s all about what all he had to put in, what all he had to sacrifice, the people who supported him. It’s all about the phenomena that we call Sachin. It’s a pleasure watching it, don’t miss it,” he conceded further.
