The Mumbai Indians and the Rising Pune Supergiant are going to clash each other tonight in the 28th match of IPL 2017 which will be hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The most interesting fact in the today’s game is that the two Indian players are all set to play their 150th IPL match in the same game.

One player is the former India and RPS captain MS Dhoni and the other one is the Mumbai Indians captain Rohit Sharma. Gujarat Lions captain Suresh Raina reached this milestone before the duo in this year’s IPL and has played 154 matches in the IPL.

Now, Dhoni and Rohit will be the joint second to reach there. MSD featured in the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) team for the first eight editions of the IPL from the year 2008-2015. He was the skipper of CSK and under his captaincy, the team won the IPL trophy two times (2010 and 2011) and also won the Champions League T20 (CLT20) two times (2010 and 2014).

CSK was the only team to qualify for the playoffs for all the eight seasons and they were considered as the most successful team in the IPL. After the Supreme Court suspended CSK and RR for 2 years Dhoni has been with the Rising Pune Supergiant.

Thus far in the IPL he has played 149 matches and scored 3393 runs at an average of 39.00 and strike rate of 138.03. He also scored 17 half-centuries and his highest score is 70* in the IPL.

Rohit Sharma who played for Deccan Charges in the first three editions of IPL 2008-2010, 2011 onwards he is playing for Mumbai Indians. In the year 2013, he was appointed as the skipper for MI and under his captaincy, Mumbai won the IPL trophy two times (2013 and 2015) and also won the CLT20 trophy one time (2013).

He has appeared in 149 matches and scored 3928 runs at an average of 32.73. He also scored one century and 29 half centuries with a strike rate of 131.02.

MS Dhoni came back to the form recently scoring a half century against SRH in their last match. But, Rohit is yet to score big in this edition. So, every fan will expect a knock of substance from these two legends tonight.
