Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni doesn’t have any cricket scheduled for the next few months. The wicketkeeper-batsman is enjoying the break from the game by spending some quality time with his family including his wife Sakshi Dhoni and daughter Ziva Dhoni.

Dhoni stayed at the ‘Meena Bagh’ villa on his vacation in Shimla with family members and friends. The fans were blessed with some beautiful pictures of the adorable family and the scenic beauty of Shimla via the official Twitter handle of Sakshi and Ziva.

Before returning home after a memorable and comfortable stay, Dhoni won hearts with his adorable gesture as he signed the waste woods in the villa while writing two important messages that read, “Plant Trees” and “Save Forests’.

The official Instagram handle of the ‘Meena Bagh’ villa posted the picture of MS signing the waste woods with the caption, “We had some boring slogans but he’s put his signatures to them. MeenaBagh Ratnari. HP. June 2021. (For our tree-hugging activist friends: the wood here is wood thrown by wood mills as waste and is called ‘waste wood’. It’s usually used for bonfires in Himachal’s winter)”.

An environmentalist gifts MS Dhoni the traditional Himachal cap

During his stay at Ratnari, Dhoni also interacted with Aman Singh Thakur, who runs an NGO and is an environmentalist. Speaking about his interaction with the legendary cricketer, Aman revealed that he gifted a Himachal cap to Dhoni while giving a traditional women’s cap to Sakshi Dhoni.

“I gave the traditional Himachal cap to Dhoni sir and a Dhatu (traditional women’s cap) to his wife. They said they loved it here as it is so peaceful and nobody disturbs them. Appreciating the efforts of locals in keeping the place neat and clean, they said they would visit again soon,” Thakur said as quoted by The Tribune India.

MS Dhoni was last seen playing competitive cricket in the now-postponed 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will be organizing the remaining matches of IPL 2021 in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in September and October.
