MS Dhoni spotted at Leh Airport after completing his 15-day stint with Indian Army

The speculations over his retirement will continue again.

The former Indian captain MS Dhoni, on Saturday, was spotted at Leh Airport after completing his 15-day stint with the Indian Army. He had made himself unavailable for India’s West Indies tour after the World Cup having committed to serve the Army earlier. Accordingly, the selectors also granted him leave amidst the speculations over his retirement.

MS Dhoni, the Lieutenant Colonel, joined the Territorial Army — 106 TA Battalion (Para) in Jammu and Kashmir on July 30. He trained with the Battalion over the last two weeks and it finished on August 15. It was also reported that the veteran on the cricket field will unfurl the national flag in Leh on Independence Day.

Dhoni was deployed in the Kashmir Valley as part of Victor Force. He stayed with the troops during this period and took on the duties of patrolling, guard and post duty.

India’s next limited-overs series is at home against South Africa against whom they will play three T20 Internationals starting from September 15. MS Dhoni is expected to take a decision on his retirement in the near future while there were reports of him staying on to groom Rishabh Pant with the T20 World Cup to be played next year in World Cup.
