Former Indian skipper MS Dhoni has been in the news in the recent few days. The primary reason behind this being his sudden decision to step down as the limited overs captain of the Indian cricket team. Dhoni led India in a record 331 international matches – the most by any captain at that level. He had stepped down from the Test captaincy in late 2014 mid way through the tour down under.

Just a couple days before the squad for the England series was to be announced, MS Dhoni called it a day as leader of India’s ODI and T20I teams. The decision came as a shock and surprise to many. However, few commended it as a very timely decision and lauded him as one of the greatest captains ever.

So the question is, how is MS Dhoni – the player, going to evolve now? Well, going by the recent reports, he is sweating it hard in the gym ahead of the England series. Recently, the dynamic batsman posted a video on his social media accounts that grabbed the eyeballs of his fans. Dhoni posted a gym video to clearly indicate that the man from Ranchi is on a mission now.

Dhoni is seen doing a compound seated press and seated rowing in the very short video. The video managed to grab as many as over 400000 views in no time. The 35-year old former skipper is surely going to be the one player to watch out for in the series. Dhoni has led India in 70 T20Is and won 41 of them.

In the 199 ODIs that he led India, he managed to register wins in 110 of them. Dhoni as a captain was a delight to watch. It will be worth a watch to see how Dhoni as a player shows down in his second coming. The ODI series commences on January 15 at Pune.
