'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' declared tax free in Uttar Pradesh

The Uttar Pradesh government has declared “MS Dhoni, the Untold Story”, the biopic on MS Dhoni tax-free in the state on Saturday. The chief minister’s office made the announcement through a tweet last night .

Lead actor Sushant Singh Rajput met chief minister Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and his family this week, before its release this Friday. The movie was declared tax-free in Bihar and Jharkhand before the release.

“MS Dhoni: The Untold Story”, hit the silver screen September 30, when the movie opened at the box office. The first-day show was sold out in almost pre-bookings only across the country. And the theaters turned into stadiums with people turning up for the movie dressed in blue jerseys.

MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, the biopic of Team India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni, continued raking in big money at the box office on the second day of its screening.

Bollywood critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh today tweeted the business which MS Dhoni’s biopic did on the second day. After opening as the second highest grossing movie of the year, the movie continued attracting the crowd in huge numbers and collected 20.60 crores on day two of its business. The movie has already broken the record for the highest opening in the biopic genre.

Dhoni’s biopic has already garnered 60 crores by earning 45 crores for its satellites rights and 15 crores from all brands that have been involved with the film. The movie received fantastic reviews. Lead Sushant Singh Rajput, who plays MS Dhoni, was lauded for the wonderful portrayal of the Indian cricketer.
