The biopic of the India’s limited-overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni ‘MS Dhoni – The untold story’ is expected to unveil many unknown stories of the captain cool’s life.

Times of India quoted a source close to the production saying, “MS Dhoni was in love with a girl named Priyanka Jha in his early 20s. Dhoni was looking to make it to the Indian squad at that time and he also wanted to spend the rest of his life with her.”

He was picked for the India A squad to tour New Zealand and Kenya in 2003-04 and he was in top notch as the wicket-keeper from Ranchi smashed the ball to all parts of the ground. He played a match winning innings in the tri-nation series featuring Kenya and Pakistan. He played a vital role as India chased down 223 against the arch-rivals Pakistan with a half-century and followed it up with two back-to-back centuries.

But that was the time when a tragedy struck his life as his girl was killed in an accident. He was shattered and was in the grief of the death for a year and for a while, the people close to him thought that he might fall apart but he gathered himself from there and went on to become one of the most successful captains the cricketing world had ever witnessed.

Later on, he tied the knot with Sakshi Singh Rawat on July 4, 2010, in Dehradun. Sakshi, played by Kiara Advani, has a role too in ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’, that unveils on September 30 with Sushant Singh Rajput in the lead.
