Valentine’s Day is filled with lots of love, compassion, trust, bonding, relationship, togetherness, and what not. The day carries an important message, which is to believe in our loved ones. On one hand, when the sports personalities around the globe posted messages for their life-partners, IPL franchise Mumbai Indians found it very difficult to let Ritika-Rohit’s concordance stay just between them.

Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika posted an image on Instagram with her husband captioning, “Happy Valentine’s Day baby, you’ve changed my life in the best ways possible. Here’s to lifetimes of this.” On this, Mumbai Indians joined in the conversation and got the approval of none other than Ritika herself.

The official Instagram handle of Mumbai Indians commented on Ritika’s post saying “Ours too” along with a heart smiley and three trophies, signifying the three Indian Premier League titles that Rohit has won as captain for the team. Rohit is the joint-most successful captain in the IPL with three titles that he won in 2013, 2015 and 2017. Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the other skipper with three IPL titles with Chennai Super Kings in 2010, 2011 and 2018.

Meanwhile, it has been widely reported that Rohit Sharma has been given rest from the upcoming limited overs series against Australia which is scheduled to start on 24th February in Vishakapatnam. However, the final team announcement will be done by the selection committee which will sit on Friday. It will be interesting to see who will be named as Rohit’s replacement.

As per the reports, BCCI is looking to give a final opportunity to both Ajinkya Rahane and KL Rahul to see who can act as a reserve opener for India in the forthcoming World Cup. The likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Shane Warne have suggested Rishabh Pant’s name ahead of KL Rahul. This remains to be seen how the Indian team management goes about it.
