India over the years has found themselves a fast-bowling all-rounder short. It was Kapil Dev who had set the standards unbelievably high as none of the Indians have managed to match them. Current India all-rounder Hardik Pandya has shown some glimpse. Kapil De himself had lauded the all-rounder when he produced a counter-attacking knock in the recently concluded Test series against South Africa.

Pandya first arrived in the IPL when he was picked by Mumbai Indians. Pandya showed promise in his first edition of the IPL itself with his powerful hitting abilities. He won a number of games for his franchise side who eventually had retained the player during the retention program for the 11th edition of the IPL.

Gets praise from Mumbai Indians owner Nita Ambani

Nita Ambani, the owner for Mumbai Indians recently was talking about the Pandya brothers in an event organized by India Today. Ambani said that the two brothers have come from a humble background. She mentioned how the two defied all the odds to reach where they have reached. She while speaking mentioned how the two of them would travel a long distance to play a game so that they can earn some money. She said that the two would even travel without tickets as they had no money to buy tickets.

She also mentioned how Mumbai Indians tracked the all-rounder and later selected him for the Mumbai Indians side during her speech at India Today program.

The 24-year-old allrounder took Twitter to thank Nita Ambani and the whole Ambani family for standing firmly behind the two brothers in their tough times. Pandya also thanked Mumbai Indians and Reliance Industries Limited for their support in his tweet.

In the recently concluded IPL auction, Mumbai Indians made sure that both the brothers were on the same team again as they bought the left-handed Krunal Pandya for a massive amount.

As the 11th edition of the IPL is not too far, the two brothers would be ready to roar together once more and help the Mumbai Indians defend their IPL championship.
