There is still time before he is completely fit and ready to go. “I am in the process of recovering. Have a few more days to go. I want to be at my best fitness-wise,” Vijay told PTI. He is currently training with Rajinikanth, who is a trainer at NCA. Vijay was full of praise for the trainer and seemed happy with the progress he has made fitness-wise.

“I think I am in the right hands. He (Rajinikanth) is one of the best when it comes to rehab work. I am lucky to be working with him at the right time. The aim is to be a fitter cricketer,” the Tamil Nadu-lad said.

The right-handed batsman is going to spend more time at the National Cricket Academy in Banglore where his recovery is being assessed before the Test series against the Islanders.
