Bangladesh Cricket has seen a significant rise as far as the quality of cricket is concerned, in recent times. But one thing that has not changed is the trolling of their cricketers on social media. We got an example of the same when Bangladesh wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim was mocked on Twitter.

The main story:

The 29-year-old cricketer took to his official Twitter handle to share a picture from his gym session with his fans. The right handed batsman can be seen going through a hardcore workout session. In the picture, Mushfiqur is lifting a lot of weight but the picture became a laughing stock to the Twitterati.

While some people called him a rising star for Bangladesh, there were people who ripped him apart with trolls. There were people who mocked the expression on his face while some others asked the cricketer whether it was edited or real. A fan also stated that child labour is strictly prohibited in the country taking a dig at Mushfiqur’s short height. People also advised him to grow a height before growing a body.

However, this is not the first time Mushfiqur Rahim got trolled on Twitter. The batsman took a subtle dig at the Indian team when they lost the semi final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2016 against the West Indies. Mushfiqur has posted a picture of himself watching the match and stated that it gave him immense happiness to see India on the losing side. The tweet did not go down with the Indian fans on Twitter, and the cricketer was slammed mercilessly on the social media platform.

Rahim was recently left in tears when he was criticized by the owner of his Bangladesh Premier League team, Barisal Bulls. He was blamed for being able to lead the team well and for the lack of discipline in his team. The player was deeply hurt and owner Abdul Awal Chowdhury had to apologize for his offensive comments.
