Star Bangladeshi bowler Mustafizur Rahman was a revelation for the Sunrisers Hyderabad during their successful title triumph season in IPL 2016. This year, they are hoping to replicate the same scheme of things with same energy. The pacer, popularly known as the Fizz, was expected to join the team camo after the first match. This was due to the reason that he was on national duty playing the T20Is against Sri Lanka in Sri Lanka.

Now, as per the recent reports in the Wisden India, Mustafizur Rahman will be joining the SRH camp slightly later than his expected date. This is because of the fact that he is keen on taking some time off before getting back to cricket. Many cricket pundits had earlier noted that too much cricket might stress out the young promising talent. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has expressed their desire to give rest to their main bowler.

“I have learnt a lot from IPL, but I don’t think I will be able to make it for the tournament this time around. I’m waiting for a permission from the board,” Mustafizur Rahman had quoted last week to Sportstarlive.

“I’m still not sure whether I will be able to play too many games. Even if I go, I will have to return by the first week of May. I am yet to get back to my rhythm, so Mashrafe bhai (Mortaza) suggested me to skip the IPL. I am seriously considering his advice. We have a long session ahead and it is important that I remain fit,” he had added.

It will be interesting to see what he eventually decides. For now, it seems that the pacer will turn up for a few matches. Even the news in the SRH camp is unsure. The head coach Tom Moody noted that they are expecting Fizz to join him soon. However, team mate Moises Henriques noted that there is no clarity over his participation yet.
