My eyes are on MS Dhoni's lucky bat: Sushant Singh Rajput

Sushant Singh Rajput, the actor who will be seen on the big screen playing the role of MS Dhoni, reveals in one of his recent interviews that he is currently eyeing MS Dhoni’s lucky bat.

“His bat, he has gifted me lots of bat. There’s a lucky bat he has with which he played the last Test match. My eyes are on it,” Sushant Singh Rajput said when asked what would he wish he can take back from MS Dhoni after emulating him on-screen.

Rajput says that he put a lot of hardwork in trying to become like MS Dhoni and he himself lived his character for close to one and half year.

“Whenever, we have to portray a character on screen there’s lot of things that goes into it. The process of building the character, the most important thing you yourself as an actor was to convince yourself like you are the character.”

“So yes it’s lot of homework and talking to his friends and family and events that has happened. And, what’s the intent of the director. And, then since he is MS and we all have strong visual reference of his mannerisms and the way he plays. So there is a certain level of imitation and the amalgamation of both. It was slightly tricky. It took me around one and a half years to get the hang of it.”

The trailer of the movie, titles MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, is out and has made the fans really exited about it. The film is set to be released on the 30th of September later this year.

When asked what was reaction of Dhoni after he saw the trailer himself, he said,“It feels like magic.”
