Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Amir and Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh engaged in a severe Twitter feud. It seemed to have started as a funny banter but later turned a bit hostile. Amir, who has been at the forefront of a number of controversies, posted a clip where former all-rounder Shahid Afridi smashed Harbhajan for quite a few sixes during a Test match.

It didn’t go down well with Harbhajan, who brought out Amir’s infamous no-ball scandal back during the Lord’s Test in 2010. Back then, Amir, Salman Butt, and Mohammad Asif were handed punishments after their involvement in the controversy during the Test match against England.

Harbhajan Singh slams Amir

Harbhajan slammed Amir for brining disrepute to the game of cricket. The Turbanator replied to Ami’s tweet and wrote, “Lords mai no ball kaise ho gya tha ?? Kitna liya kisne diya ? Test cricket hai no ball kaise ho sakta hai ? Shame on u and ur other supporters for disgracing this beautiful game.”

Harbhajan didn’t stop and bashed Amir for losing all respect and focussing only on eking out money through illegal ways.

“For people like you @iamamirofficial only Paisa paisa paisa paisa .. na izzat na kuch aur sirf paisa…bataoge nahi apne desh walo ko aur supporters ko k kitna mila tha  … get lost I feel yuk talking to people like you for insulting this game and making people fool with ur acts.”

Later, Harbhajan posted a video where he was seen hitting Amir for a six to help India win a match against Pakistan more than a decade ago. He captioned the video and wrote, “Fixer ko sixer.. out of the park @iamamirofficial chal daffa ho ja.”

After the incident 11 years ago, Amir made his comeback in the 2016 Asia Cup in Bangladesh. In 2019, he retired from Test cricket after which he bid adieu to international cricket in December 2020.

Harbhajan, on the other hand, recently was a part of the Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2021 Indian Premier League. Albeit he played a few games in India, he didn’t get to play in the UAE leg of the tournament.
