Narendra Modi comes up with witty cricketing reply to Ravi Shastri's congratulatory tweet

The ruling party of the Indian democracy, Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), recently made another clean sweep at the recently held elections in some of the Indian states. The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who is also the leader of the BJP, was a mighty pleased man when the results of the Uttar Pradesh polls were out. UP is a state in India which has the most number of constituency seats and hence winning in UP is something that has always been an agenda for all competing parties in the elections.

Much against all speculations, the Modi-led BJP swept off the UP polls with perfect results this time around. Former Indian cricketer and commentator Ravi Shastri looked like a happy man after having seen the results of the poll. Shastri was quick to take to the social media site Twitter and expressed his content on the results. He decided to congratulate the PMO India on the occasion. In his tweet, he commended the BJP for their landslide win in UP. Shastri did not miss out on using his cliche cricketing lingo in the congratulatory tweet.

He wrote that the pair of Narendra Modi and Amit Shah crossed the 300 mark like a tracer bullet. The ‘tracer bullet’ remark is something that is definitely not new for the cricket fans. They have heard it alot from Ravi Shastri. He wrote, “Congratulations @BJP4India on the landslide win in UP. The pair of PM @narendramodi & @AmitShah went past 300-mark like a #TracerBullet”.

What perspired next definitely must have cleaned up Shastri. Narendra Modi also replied back in the same cricketing lingo. He thanked Shastri for his wishes and noted that the elections did not go down the wire but democracy certainly emerged as the real winner. The PMO India tweeted, “Thank you. UP polls did not quite go down to the wire. But, at the end of the day democracy is indeed the real winner! :)”.
