Indian PM Narendra Modi wishes team India ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

Indian PM Narendra Modi wishes team India ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a personality known to be vocal of his thoughts and interacting with followers on the social media as soon as he took over as the PM. Mr. Modi has on all occasions expressed his fondness for the game of cricket as well. And when the national team is just about to start their ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 defense, he took to twitter and tweeted a special message for all the 15 players in the Indian squad.

From his personal twitter handle @narendramodi he sent 15 tweets back to back mentioning all the players picked in the Indian squad also wishing them good luck and reminding them of the huge expectation the country has from them.

First up came the message for the entire team:

As the 2015 Cricket World Cup begins, my best wishes to the Indian Cricket Team. खेलोदिलसे, वर्ल्डकपलाओफिरसे!

This one was PM’s tweet for the Indian Captain MS Dhoni, who won the World Cup for India in 2011. @narendramodi My best wishes to captain cool @msdhoni. Play hard, lead well & make India proud. Knowing you, I am sure you will.

Indian team depends a lot on Virat Kohli to power the battling line up and it seems the PM knows this pretty well.

I wish our flamboyant vice captain @imVkohli the very best for the upcoming campaign. The entire nation has a lot of hopes on him.

The opener Shikhar Dhawan will play a crucial role, as good starts to the innings would mean the lower order can play with more freedom and that much less pressure. @narendramodi Best wishes @SDhawan25! Give India a wonderful start every time you step on the pitch. Score many many runs, we are all there to cheer you.

Rohit Sharma has been in prime form, in the three innings he has played in Australia two of them brought him big hundreds and of course who can forget he is the only batsmen with two ODI double hundreds to his name.

The only batsman to score 2 double centuries in ODIs, @ImRo45’s talent has millions of fans. Make us proud once again!

Ajinkya Rahane is a cool customer, with a very stable head and batting technique up in the order. India would rely on him to get them through with the middle orders scoring brisk runs with minimum risk. @narendramodi I wish you the very best my young friend @ajinkyarahane88. Have a wonderful World Cup. Make the most of this great opportunity.

The most energetic and the best fielder in this Indian team with world class fielders’ India’s limited overs specialist Suresh Raina brings lot more to the team than just runs. The PM too seems to know how much Raina loves to hate the shorter balls.

Suresh Raina has always been agile on the field & hard-hitting with the bat. Hit them out of the park, including the bouncers 🙂 @ImRaina

Ambati Rayudu India’s backup batsman might come into the scheme of things on the day the management decides to strengthen the batting.

Have a great tournament @RayuduAmbati. I am sure you will keep the runs coming & play a key role in the tournament.

He surely is the joker in the pack; with his performance he can turn the tide of the game on his own and a rock star in the team. Indian PM doesn’t miss out, calls him Sir Jadeja.

Who is not a fan of Sir Jadeja? We all look forward to seeing your all round performances take India to victory! @imjadeja

The unpredictable nature MS Dhoni possesses one doesn’t know when and what will he do next. Who knows he might even go in with two left arm spinners, a miser with the ball, sharp enough to beat the batsmen Axar Patel is also a handy customer with the bat. @narendramodi The young Axar Patel can trick the batsmen with his sharp spin & bounce. Give your best & play without pressure!

For Indian bowling to do well, they need Bhuvneshwar Kumar to swing the ball and provide them with early breakthroughs, acknowledging the fact Mr. Modi made this tweet.

Best of luck @BhuviOfficial! Swing every match in our favour. Your breakthroughs will determine how fast we will win those matches!

An energetic Mohit Sharma showed he can bowl it quick and can have a better impact on the game if the wicket is assisting. He was not there in the squad originally but has filled in to replace injured Ishant Sharma.

Our young fast bowler Mohit Sharma can bowl a great line & length. He is a great asset to the team. Best of luck.

Mohammad Shami has the pace; skill and the ability to strike with the swinging new ball early into the innings and to come back and reverse swing the older one. He will be one of India’s strike bowlers, a little more consistent and we will see more wickets coming his way.

I wish my young & extremely talented friend, Mohammed Shami the very best for the World Cup. Play well & get those wickets.

The surprise and a controversial inclusion in the team is all-rounder Stuart Binny. Though he has done no harm to his selection in the matches that he has played down under, it will be interesting to see how MS Dhoni chooses to utilize him.

Stuart Binny’s recent all round performances have impressed all. We wish him all the best for the World Cup.

Umesh Yadav represents raw pace in this side, if at the moment there is someone who can consistently bowl testing pace in India it has to be him.

Good luck @y_umesh. Bowl out the batsmen with your impressive speed & reverse swing.

Last but not the least, PM Modi, lauded and backed India’s lead spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to do well at the world cup 2015 and spin the matches in the teams favor.

I am sure your spin bowling will surprise the batsman & give us victory. Play well @Ashwinravi99! My good wishes.
